Success Step Number 1: Marketing & Prospecting
 
Okay - time for a little education on the state of the industry...
 
You can find a plethora of information regarding how to properly build a business such as Team Beachbody on the Internet. Just about everything you will read out there is right... and also wrong!
 
How confusing is that statement?
 
Answer - VERY Confusing - just like most things today. We live in an insane world of information overload and at the end of the day, YOU will need to do your due diligence and soul searching to find out what will work best for you. You will do best by not getting sidetracked and sticking with the plan we have here.
 
That said, lets get into SOME of the options available to you as a new Beachbody Coach to market your business. We have successful leaders all around the country who are doing one or more of the following programs.
 
Your assignment - read through the following marketing options (in no particular order) and choose the ONE you want to START with - you can always change programs and/or add a program or two to what you are currently doing. Review all the options and click on a link to get more details.
 
Here again, make sure you get with the Coach who sponsored you into the business to help you with your decision - do not do this alone!
 
Warm Lead Prospecting: This is a complete turn-key marketing and follow up system you can use to explode your business using leads who have raised their hand requesting that someone contact them. You will also have access to the optional CEM Prospector and the free Recruiter Suite where you can test drive an automated system and get free and low cost leads.
 
3-Foot Rule: Everyone should be practicing the 3-foot rule. This is nothing more than simply talking about the business with people you meet in your day to day travels. This is getting down your 30 second elevator pitch when someone asks you w=hat you do for a living - which eventually all conversations go to sooner or later. Beachbody has spent numerous years branding their name, and their programs, like P90X, Power 90, Hip Hop Abs, Slim in 6, Yoga Booty Ballet, and Turbo Jam. Learn to use this to your advantage - and to build your business.
 
Warm Market Prospecting: Also known as family and friends. Okay, here is the "old school" method of marketing your Beachbody business. For the most part you will hear two different camps on this one - those who like this method and those who are against it, and typically promote what is called a Funded Proposal system. The bottom line, and here again, because of Beachbody's numerous years of branding, the warm market is perfect for your Beachbody business.
 
In-Home Party's: Beachbody does VERY well using this marketing approach. Many Coaches have a lot of fun and are experiencing great success with this method. This marketing method is focused around what we call food, fitness and fun.
 
Group Meetings: This format is typically used after you have been building in your local market for a while. This consists of hosting both an opportunity overview along with a training right after the opportunity call. These are also called Super Saturdays as they are typically conducted on the weekends when people have more time.
 
Social Media Marketing and Message Boards: If you have not heard about My Space, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and the other Social Networking sites, then you will soon - in fact you have just heard about them. Unless you have some experience here, we would suggest that you do not start your business using this as your sole source of marketing.
 
Craig's List Marketing: Many Coaches have had great success using Craig's list to market their Beachbody business. We will show you a couple tricks to using this method to marketing their business.
 
Trade Shows: This can be a great way to market and build your Beachbody business. This avenue of marketing your business should not be used as your stand alone source of marketing and building your business - however, it is a great addition to add to any of your marketing methods.
